We Were Here Tomorrow Price: What You Pay Now

The We Were Here Tomorrow price is $19.99 with a 10% launch discount, so $17.99 on Steam and PS5 until November 3. Two copies, DLC and bundle math.

By We Were Here Tomorrow Wiki Editorial

Quick answer

The game is $19.99 and currently $17.99 with a 10% launch discount on Steam, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. The Chinese Steam store lists CN¥77.00 discounted to CN¥69.30, and the European price is €19.99 with the same 10% off. Because it is strictly two-player, the real cost of playing is two copies.

Current prices, checked October 26, 2026

Steam US shows $19.99 reduced to $17.99, and the Chinese store shows CN¥77.00 reduced to CN¥69.30. The official FAQ quotes €19.99 and £16.99 with the same 10% launch discount, which puts the discounted euro price at the equivalent of about €17.99.

PlayStation 5 lists $17.99 as discounted from $19.99 and separately mentions saving 10% with PlayStation Plus, which is a membership discount layered on top rather than the base price. Xbox lists 17.99 USD with a strikethrough price of 19.99 USD.

All five sources agree on the base price and the discount percentage. The only number worth distrusting is any page still quoting $14.99 — that figure appears in older competitor pages and matches no store, which is why we rechecked every price on the same evening.

When the discount ends

The PS Store is the only place with a printed deadline: the offer ends on November 3, 2026 at 08:00 UTC, which is 16:00 Beijing time. The official release announcement describes the discount as lasting "during the first two weeks", which lands on the same date.

Steam shows the reduced price without a countdown, so the safe reading is that both stores return to $19.99 when the two-week window closes. One aggregator claims the discount runs for a single week; that is wrong and contradicted by the store page.

If you are buying for two people, the deadline matters more than usual, because the difference is doubled.

Check the price in your own store rather than in a guide. Steam regional pricing is set per currency, the console stores price per region, and we only verified the US, Chinese and euro listings. A number from another region is not evidence about yours.

What two players actually pay

There is no free partner copy, so the honest total is two purchases. At the discounted US price that is $35.98 for a pair, and at the Chinese price CN¥138.60. At full price it returns to $39.98.

Set that against the 10 to 15 hour runtime and the cost per hour is roughly $1.20 per person, or about $2.40 per hour for the pair. That comparison is worth making because the "it is only twenty dollars" framing hides that this is a two-copy game.

If one of you is unsure, buy one copy first and use the public lobby to play with a stranger before committing the second. The game does not require you to own it twice to test it.

The DLC is not the game

The Fan Edition is a $6.99 DLC, not a bundle and not a free extra. It contains a digital artbook, the 80s synthwave soundtrack and exclusive wallpapers, and it does not include the base game. The official FAQ's wording — "available for purchase" — is the clearest confirmation that it is paid.

The soundtrack is also sold separately at $3.99 with 15 tracks, which makes the Fan Edition a reasonable upgrade if you want both: $3 more buys the artbook and the wallpapers.

A competitor page was still describing the Fan Edition as free in late October. If you see that claim, it is out of date; the Steam listing has priced it since launch.

The series bundle

PlayStation offers a We Were Here Series Bundle at $54.99 covering six games, and Steam has an equivalent bundle. For a pair arriving new to the series that is the cheapest way to own the whole run, provided you actually intend to play more than this one.

For a single playthrough of Tomorrow, the bundle costs more than two copies of Tomorrow and is not worth it unless the earlier games are also on your list. They are shorter: the studio compares the first three to "an evening out".

Bundle pricing moves with sales, so check the store page rather than a guide. The figure above is the one printed on the PS Store at the time of writing.

One caveat if you are buying on PlayStation: the bundle appears on the same product page as the base game, which makes it easy to add both by accident. Check the cart before paying, because the bundle already contains Tomorrow.

Two myths worth correcting

The first is that the Fan Edition is free. It is $6.99, and the wording in the official FAQ rules out a giveaway. The second is that the launch discount has ended or that the base price was quietly cut from $19.99 to $17.99 as a permanent change; the $17.99 is the temporary 10% figure, not a new list price.

A third, smaller myth concerns regional pricing: several key resellers advertise euro prices well under the official €19.99. Those are third-party codes rather than store prices, and they carry their own risks, which the key page covers.

Every number on this page is dated because launch-window pricing moves. If you are reading this in December, check the store before trusting any of it.

Why the price differs by region

Steam sets regional prices rather than converting one global number, which is why the Chinese store is CN¥77.00 and not a direct dollar conversion. The PlayStation and Xbox stores price per region too, and we only captured US listings, so treat other regions as unknown rather than assumed.

Third-party key sellers add a second layer of prices that move daily and are not official store prices. A euro figure around €15 for a PC code is a reseller price, not a discount from the developer.

For a purchase decision the official store page is the only number that matters, and it is the number the refund policy is attached to.

Price FAQ

Is $17.99 the real price or a temporary discount?

Temporary. The list price is $19.99 and the $17.99 is the 10% launch discount, which ends around November 3, 2026.

Do both players need to buy the game?

Yes. There is no Friend Pass in this entry, and the store lists only Family Sharing, so a pair pays twice.

Is the Fan Edition worth $6.99?

If you want the soundtrack and the artbook, yes: the soundtrack alone is $3.99, so the extra $3 covers the artbook and wallpapers. It does not include the game.

Why do key sites list a lower price?

They sell third-party codes rather than store copies, with their own refund and region risks. The key page explains what you give up.

Will the price drop again soon?

Unknown. The game is a week old, so there is no sale history to read. The only known date is the end of the launch discount in early November.

Does the Chinese store price include the discount?

Yes. The Chinese store shows CN¥77.00 with a 10% reduction to CN¥69.30, which is the same percentage as the US and European stores.
