We Were Here Tomorrow Battery Puzzle: Third Panel
The We Were Here Tomorrow battery puzzle is the third-battery panel: the W/E/O shorthand version of the same route, plus five checks for why the power cuts out.
Quick answer
The battery puzzle is the third-battery panel inside the same R&D power network as the generator and cable puzzles. If your panel uses letters instead of Greek symbols, enter: W1, W4, W2, W3, W6, E4, E3, E1, E2, W8, O3, A2, A3, λ2, λ3, λ1, W7, then press W7 once more. It is the same route in shorthand, not a different puzzle.
One room, three search terms
Players arrive here from three directions: generator puzzle, battery puzzle and cable puzzle. All three describe the R&D Headquarters power network, and the panel in front of you decides which page is useful. Greek identifiers mean the generator page; letters mean this page; a route that keeps breaking after a door opens means the cable page.
The battery framing comes from the third battery section of the sequence, which is the part most guides abbreviate. That is also why "battery puzzle" often lands on a page that only explains the cable rules and never shows the panel.
Everything below assumes the same three rules as the rest of the room: start at GEN, connect to the last module you lit, and never use a module twice.
If you are unsure which page applies, read the panel rather than the guide. Greek identifiers mean the generator page, letters mean this one, and a panel where every input after a door is refused means the cable page, because that is a rule problem rather than a notation problem.
Why the letters look different
The shorthand sequence maps one-to-one onto the Greek one by position, which is why the two lists are the same length and end in the same place. W corresponds to the Ψ positions, E to Σ, O to Θ, A to Δ, and λ stays as it is.
We have not found a source that prints that mapping as a table, and it is inferred from position rather than stated by the developer. Present it as "the same sequence written two ways", not as an official translation, and check the panel in front of you before entering anything.
If your panel mixes letters and Greek characters, read it as one system. Pairs who assume the panel switched puzzles halfway through usually restart a route that was correct.
The five reasons power cuts out
First, the indicator light you are trusting may not actually be lit; confirm on the physical module rather than the console readout. Second, the next module may not be directly connected to the one you just activated, which is invisible unless the reader traces the cable.
Third, you may have misread a Greek letter or a number: W3, E3, O3 and A3 are four different points. Fourth, you may have reused a module, and the panel will not tell you which one. Fifth, the coloured door tied to your segment may not be open yet.
Work the five in that order and stop at the first one that fails. Restarting from GEN before checking them costs more time than the check itself.
Do not confuse it with the Chapter 2 battery
There is a separate battery object earlier in the game: a battery pickup you place into a pull-bar slot in Chapter 2. Patch 1.1.2 made that pickup easier to place, and the patch note has nothing to do with this power network.
The confusion is worth naming because players search for "battery puzzle", land on patch notes about the Chapter 2 item, and conclude the puzzle was patched. It was not.
If your problem is that you cannot pick up or place an object, you are in the Chapter 2 interaction, not the power network. If your problem is that a module will not illuminate, you are on this page.
Finishing the panel and the achievement
The sequence ends at W7. Press it once more after the route completes, then confirm the final light before you walk away; several pairs report finishing and turning out to have stopped one input short.
The achievement attached to this checkpoint is Routing Power, and the official known-issues page says it can fail to award under rare circumstances. If the route is complete and the achievement is missing, that is a documented issue.
Nothing in patch 1.1.2 mentions this puzzle, so the logic appears unchanged since launch. We cannot verify that beyond the patch notes.
The third battery, input by input
The shorthand route breaks into four groups that mirror the four segments of the power network. W1, W4, W2, W3, W6 closes the first stretch. E4, E3, E1, E2 is the door segment. W8, O3, A2, A3 opens the second stretch. Then λ2, λ3, λ1, W7 finishes the run.
Read the group you are in out loud rather than the whole list. Groups of four or five are recallable; seventeen identifiers are not, and most wrong-input reports turn out to be a skipped identifier three steps back rather than a wrong panel.
The order inside each group is not ascending. W4 comes before W2, and E4 before E3 and E1, which is why copying numbers in sequence produces a rejected route. Read the identifiers as labels, not as a count.
One more detail about the middle of the route: E2 and W8 sit either side of the green door. If the door is not open when you reach W8, the green segment was not completed, and you are about to blame the wrong end of the route.
When W7 does nothing
Check three things in order. Confirm the panel registered λ1 immediately before it, because a mis-pressed λ identifier fails without an error message. Confirm that W7 is the module the panel is currently offering rather than the one you remember from a guide. Then press it a second time, since several published routes end with an extra press at W7 to close the circuit.
If those three do not solve it, reset the handles and re-enter only the final segment. Earlier segments usually survive a reset, and re-entering from GEN throws away every confirmed module you already have.
